Refund policy

Built to Order, No Stock on Hand

Every system sold by Closed Customs is custom built to order.
Once an order is placed, parts are immediately sourced and allocated specifically for that customer’s build.
Because of this, we cannot resell or reuse most components once purchased.


Cancellations & Refunds

  • Within 24 Hours:
    Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase with no penalty, provided no parts have been ordered yet.

  • After 24 Hours (Parts Ordered):
    Once part orders are placed, all sales become final.
    However, if a cancellation is approved before assembly begins, a partial refund may be issued at our discretion, minus:

    • Non-refundable component costs (parts already purchased), and

    • A 15–20% processing/restocking fee to cover sourcing, transaction, and administrative costs.

  • After Build or Shipment Begins:
    Once the build process starts or components are assembled, the order is non-refundable.



Warranty & Defective Parts

  • All systems are covered under standard manufacturer warranties for individual components (e.g., CPU, GPU, RAM, etc.).

  • If a component arrives defective, Closed Customs will assist in the warranty replacement process but does not offer direct refunds on custom builds.

  • Warranty claims are handled through the respective manufacturer’s official channels.



Returns

Because every build is unique, returns are not accepted except in cases of verified defective hardware under warranty.
Returned systems without prior authorization will be refused delivery.

Customers are updated through every step — from part sourcing to final testing — ensuring full visibility into the build process.

For any refund or order concerns, contact us using the contact tab within your eligible window.  Include all details you deem are important for us to know in order to process your refund. This will timestamp your request, in the event we are late in responding.


Note for Shopify / Payment Processors

This policy is compliant with Shopify Payments and card issuer guidelines for custom-built or commissioned goods.
It clearly defines:

  • Work begins immediately after payment,

  • Components cannot be repurposed, and

  • Refunds are limited to pre-build cancellations.
